Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai
Siddhivinayak Temple is one of the famous and richest temples in Mumbai which is devoted to Lord Shree Ganesh. This temple is frequently visited by Bollywood actors and politicians.
Being constructed in the 18th century, this temple earlier had a black idol of Shree Siddhivinayak made out of stone. The modern-day SIddhivinayak Temple is a unique six-storeyed erection having a golden dome on the top.
However, the black statue of Shree Siddhivinayak has a special feature that is turning of the trunk to the right. This feature is not often found on Ganesh statues.
People always make crowds at this temple for the Siddhivinayak Live Darshan. Devotees can enter into the temple premises from two gates. One can get free Darshan at the Siddhi Gate while Riddhi Gate allows you a general Darshan. On normal days, it takes about 30 to 45 minutes for the Darshan and on Tuesdays, it extends till 1.5 to 2 hours.

Darshan Timing of Siddhivinayak Temple
The temple timings change depending on the day. However, various rituals took place daily in this temple. Devotees can attend these rituals like the morning, afternoon, and evening poojas. Check out the timings of different rituals below:
- Shree Darshan: Morning 6.00 am to 12.15 pm
- Naivedhya: 12.15 pm in the afternoon till 12.30 pm
- Shree Darshan: Afternoon 12.30 pm till 7.20 pm in the evening
- After Shejaarti, the temple remains closed till next morning.
- The opening time of the temple is 5.30 am and closes after Shejaarti. (Except Tuesdays)

At Siddhivinayak Temple, there is no fee for general Darshan, but for VIP Darshan, one has to pay Rs 50.
Dress Code to Enter Siddhivinayak Temple
There is no particular dress code for devotees coming to Siddhivinayak Temple but need to wear decent clothes. No shorts and miniskirts are allowed over here. Beachwear and other revealing dresses are strictly prohibited inside the temple premises.

B.E.S.T buses are available from any region of the city for traveling to Dadar, Prabhadevi. One can also travel by the local train (Central, Western, Harbour) to get over Dadar.
You can also book a taxi to reach Dadar and from Dadar also, cab facilities are available for Prabhadevi. You can get cab services from any point in the city.
Best Time to Visit Siddhivinayak Temple
The ideal time for visiting Siddhivinayak Temple would be the afternoon time as there will be fewer crowds. Moreover, to have special prayers, you can visit the temple during festivals such as Vinayak Chaturthi, Maghi Shree Ganesh Jayanti, Sankashti Chaturthi, and Bhadrapad Shree Ganesh Chaturthi. Planing to visit Siddhivinayak Temple on Wednesdays would be a better option as most devotees come on Tuesdays. The winter months from November to February are best for sightseeing as the weather remains cold.

- In this temple, one can find a rare Ganesha with its trunk on the right. Most other idols have the trunk to the left side.

- Today, the construction rate to build this kind of temple is 3 crores.
- There is a library inside the temple which houses the largest of 500 students. However, the general seating capacity of this temple is only 150.
